The Governing Bodies of Maples Nursery School and Children’s Centre and of South Acton Children's Centre have now agreed to jointly form a Federation, which would be called the Acton Early Years Federation.

 

This follows the consultation that was held with both communities and other stakeholders during the spring term. Governors from both Maples and SACC express their thanks to everyone who took the time to respond to the consultation; the responses were all considered before each Governing Body made its decision.

 

The federation is due to become operational on Monday 1st September 2025. During the summer term we will be identifying the individuals who will form the federation Governing Body, which will include seeking nominations from the staff and from the parents of the two centres for the one staff governor and two parent governor roles. If there are more nominations than vacancies for either the staff or parent governor roles then elections will be held with the appropriate group.
